The Lady Lions are among Med ford's most philanthropic groups and each year at Christmas time put on an extensive program to provide chil dren of the financially unfortunate with toys and other Christmas gifts. In the toy campaign they are assisted by the local firemen, who act as Santa's helpers In remodeling and re decorating used and discarded toys, gathered by the Lady Lions. Many times the toys come out of the work shop gayer than their original selves and always with a new face or me chanical contraption which makes them "Just as good as new." to come see 8anta Claus Saturday afternoon. It was decided to postpone the bene fit card party and vaudeville plan ned for Friday evening of this week. The party will be held in January, when the social calendar Is not so crowded. It Is also thought that the need for funds will be greater at that time, many contributions having been made to the Lions' relief kitchen and shelter during the past two weeks. Demands upon the public are very great at this time, the board mem bers stated in postponing the party, and a better program could be as sured following Christmas. It Is socially correct to use Christ mas Seals. Buy lots of them. It takes a Christmas Sen! to make it a Christmas gift.
