C. Brumbaugh, president of the Oregon national con vention commission. Underwriters of the convention, called upon when the convention fund Indicated a deficit, forwarded an aggregate of $18,373.50 to the convention treasurer. This was $6430.30 more than sufficient to take care of the costs not defrayed from other sources, and Brumbaugh's let ter accompanies return of the pro rata share of this amount to the sub. scrlbers.
