Plan for Washington Pageant - Final preparations are being made by Crater Lake chapter, Daughtera of the American Revolution for the pre sentation of the historical pageant "Pages from the Diary of Oeorge Washington" in observance of the bi centennial anniversary of Washing ton's birth. This month ends the official nation wide celebration that has to refresh ed. In the minds and hearts of the American people, the lessons of their own history. And it hsa brought a more vivid realization Of the patriotic devotion and sacrifice of the men and women who put Into motion the force that "brought forth on this conti nent a new nation, conceived la lib erty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal." In grateful recognition of Wash ington's heroic service to our coun try, Crater Lake chapter ha kept this anniversary throughout the year. Many trees have been planted by the members! a Oeorge Washington elm tree was planted In the city park and dedicated on Feb. 32nd and the chap ter ha cooperated In other project. This pageant, which will be shown In the high school auditorium on Thursday evening, Deo. 1st, Is a his tory of Oeorge Washington's time shown In tableaux, coatutaea and music. It I open to pit public, without charge, and young people are especially Invited. Club Benefit Tea Looms for Next Week With the Thanksgiving holiday and It dinner and dances over, club women are concentrating effort this week end on plant for the benefit tea and bridge party to be sponsored In the new club rooms In the city hall next Monday. . Funds realised from the event will be used to complete furnishing of the rooms, which are rapidly becom ing the favored haunt of several or ganisations.
