Another statement shows that the Jackson County Civic league spent 333.60 during the campaign. A. W. Pipes spent 274.50 all con tributed, as an Independent candi date for county Judge. L. C. Narre gan. Independent candidate for justice of the peace, Medford district, ex pended M,25, and L. A. Roberts, Jus tice of the peace, Ashland district, spent $29.55. Tomorrow is the final day for the filing of campaign expense accounts as required by law. The accounts must be filed by all who ran. STOCK BUYERS LOSE IN SUPREME COURT SALTM. Andree of Seattle returned to Portland Wednesday after a few days here, a guest of the Waldorf hotel. Miles Wakeman of Klamath Palls visited over the week-end with rela tives here. A large crowd attended the turkey shoot at S. J. Blakelys Sunday. Many nice birds were won. Reed Carter and Oscar Shepherd attended a water meeting at Grants Pass Thursday evening. Mrs. Will Crawford of Medford was visiting friends here Thursday. Mrs. At Love was a business visitor at Medford Wednesday. PRESIDENT VISITS HOOVER DAM Rogue River ROOUB RIVER. Nov. 22. (Spl.) Funeral for E. H. Kaynes, who died In Salem Monday, was held at the graveside In the Rogue River ceme tery Thursday, Daniel Magerle In charge. Mr. Haynes was 70 years of age and had lived here many years. He was employed as mall carrier from the depot to postofflce. A wife and nine children survive. Many from here attended the fu neral of Mrs. Irma McOuat at Con ger's Funeral Parlors Thursday. Mrs. McOuat was a member of the Civic Improvement club of Rogue River and will be greatly misled. Turkey thieves entered the yards of Will Trotters while they were away Wdnesday and loaded In 12 of their fine turkeys. Another party calling Five Day Week For Newspaper NEW YORK, Nov. 22. (ff) The Brooklyn Dally Eagle announced that It was putting into effect today a five-day week plan for Its employes.
