Another statement shows that the
Jackson County Civic league spent
333.60 during the campaign.
A. W. Pipes spent 274.50 all con
tributed, as an Independent candi
date for county Judge. L. C. Narre
gan. Independent candidate for justice
of the peace, Medford district, ex
pended M,25, and L. A. Roberts, Jus
tice of the peace, Ashland district,
spent $29.55.
Tomorrow is the final day for the
filing of campaign expense accounts
as required by law. The accounts
must be filed by all who ran.
STOCK BUYERS LOSE
IN SUPREME COURT

of more than 125 plaintiffs against
the Northwestern Pulp and Paper
company to recover money because of
alleged fraudulent sale of stock was
dismissed by the Oregon supreme
oourt In an opinion handed down
today by Justice G. M. Brown. The
entire oourt heard the petition for
appeal from Clackamas county. Plain
tiffs lost the suit in the lower court.

Funeral for E. H. Kaynes, who died
In Salem Monday, was held at the
graveside In the Rogue River ceme
tery Thursday, Daniel Magerle In
charge. Mr. Haynes was 70 years of
age and had lived here many years.
He was employed as mall carrier from
the depot to postofflce. A wife and
nine children survive.
Many from here attended the fu
neral of Mrs. Irma McOuat at Con
ger's Funeral Parlors Thursday. Mrs.
McOuat was a member of the Civic
Improvement club of Rogue River and
will be greatly misled.

five-day week plan for Its employes.
