(A) Ap- parent manipulative trend forced the price of cube butter on the Portland Produce Exchange 4 to 6c lb. higher for the week's Initial aeaalon. It waa not only a sensational advance which was the greateat individual boost ever given values In Portland at one time, but sent the market here to the highest figures In the entire country. The market appeared manipulative from the start and Indicated the In fluence of holders of storage goods wno are trying to force greater pro fits In their direction. Insofar as supply and demand was concerned, there appeared no call for any such movement of values. The advance of 4-5c In the price of butterfat here, put the buying valuea not only to the highest of the session here to date, but to the high est mars: in tne const territory, torketwes E PORTLAND, Nov. 32.
