Alex Schlchtl, on duty at Dutchman's peak, and Mr. and Mrs. Den Salt marsh of Tallow box, looked the doora till net year. Little Applegate Sewing club met Wedneaday with Mrs. Emma Buckley for several hours of sewing. Lunch was served, after which ft business meeting waa held for the election of new office ra. Mrs. Edna Buck was elected president to fill the place of Mrs. Cecil Jones, who ha served for two yeara. Mrs. Vteva Saltmarsh will serve as secretary. The club has been without a secretary alnce last spring when. Mrs. May Powell moved to Med ford. Ten members and one visitor were present. The next meeting will be November 10, with Mrs, Laura Taylor. A load of lumber was hauled from the Pursel sawmill on Tale creek to the Watklns schoolhouse this week Plans are being made to start build ing a house near the schoolhouse for Mrs. Ina Pursell, teacher.
