A ride was ob tained for them, but at Eugene the situation became complicated. They were brought to the courthouse where Dr. Ronald Romig and a nurse of the health unit administered an an aesthetic, and the woman was rushed to the hospital, where the baby was born a few minutes later. The man seemed not too concerned at the sudden turn of events, and remarked that he and the other baby would probably spend the night at the Jail.
