Plans were completed for the Orange picnic to 1 e held at Helman baths, Sunday, Aug.-21 with a pic nic lunch at 12:30. ' Stanley Pagel, secretary of the Orange, returned to h!s home Tues day, from the hospital where he un derwent an appendicitis operation. CRATER LAKE CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK, Ore. (Spl.) There Is a probability an eight-mile unit of rim road will be authorized for 1933 construction, according to Horace M. Albright, di rector of the national park service, at Crater lake this week on a periodical visit. Present road work underway In the park Includes a six-mile stretch from the rim area to north entrance ran ger station, near the Diamond lake Junction, and -a shorter distance near the east entrance ranger station, part of a program covering several years ln the construction of an en tirely new road around the lake, aim ilar to the highway leading from the south and west entrances. The rim road provides one of the most popular drives ln the park and covers a distance of 35 miles. Daily guided motor drives aroun dthe lake, leaving the Slnnot Memorial each morning at 8:30, have attracted hun dreds of visitors from all parts of the world and nation. Mr. and Mrs. Seaverson and Mr, Richmond of Central Point were out Sunday morning to the Antloch Sun day school. Mr. Seaverson sang special number which was enjoyed by all.
