At Fox Craterian Einstein's theory of "bent light' has nothing on a camera that can "shoot" around two corners at once, This paradoxical . feat was acorn- plished in the filming of "The Washington Masquerade," now show ing at the Fox-Craterlan theatre, with Llonlel Barrymore in the leading role. The camera filmed Barrymore In a scene, and at the same time looked around two .corners and picked up Karen Money In another room. Mir rors, scientifically ground and fo cused, and placed at strategic angles, made the effect possible. From an optical standpoint the scene was one of the most Intricate ever filmed. "The Washington Masquerade.1 based on the Henry Bernstein stage hit, "The Claw." is a vivid drama of political life at the national capital Barrymore plays a senator from the middle west who becomes a towering figure In national politics until his career is endangered by a woman. Many "inside" glimpses into political affairs are given. Interesting Cast In Holly Picture A story full of human Interest and sparkling with originality and hu mor go to make "Steady Company" a splendid bit of entertainment. Henry Armettta as the Italian shoemaker is perhaps the most Itneresttng char acter, while Zazu Pitta. June Clyde and Norman Foster carry the rest of the atory.
