(Right) Filling car with Lion Head Motor Oil at tart of run to break all stock car record for Class "C 22 NEW MARKS SET BY STOCK CAR ON MUROC DRY LAKE A string of twenty-two new American records were established last week on Muroc Dry Lake by a DeVaux Six coupe, using Gilmore Lion Head motor oil and the new gasoline that Gilmore has been per fecting on the speedway. Racing against record time for Class "C" stock cars, Clinton Du Bois, Nick Martino and Reeves But ton took turns at the wheel to eclipse all previous marks from the standing 1 kilometer to 1000 miles. According to the figures of the Contest Board of the A.A.A. which supervised and timed the run, the DeVaux made the fastest speed at the five mile mark, for which dis tance it set a new mark of 69.8423 miles per hour.
