last week on Muroc Dry Lake by a

Friends of Charlie Ravenor will be
pleased to know that he Is able to
leave the hospital following on opera
tion, and Is now staying at the home
of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Berry, at
Medford. -He will be able to return to
his Applegate home In about two
weeks. .
Prances Barber of Medford was a
week-end guest at the home of Erllne
Taylor. The girls, accompanied by
Vernon Taylor and Carl Holzgang,
made a trip to Squaw Lake.
Mrs. L. o. Port entertained at her
home with a shower .honoring Mrs.
Trueman Lewis last Thursday. Re

Morris Byrne and Maurice Hltchey
gave a farewell party Saturday night
at the home of Mr, and Mrs. John
Byrne, honoring Miss Jenet McKee,
who left this week for her home at
Klamath Falls after spending some
time here visiting. relatives. Twenty
guests were present' lncludlng the old
er folks. Alter several hours of danc

Clsud Medley, who nas been stay
ing with his mother-in-law, Mrs,
Mary Pursel. for some time, left last
week for Roseburg then on to east
ern Oregon, where he expects to find
employment.
Members of the Little Applegate
Sewing club met Wednesday at the
home of Mrs. Edwin Taylor, where
they enteralned their husbands with
a get-together party. About 35 were
sorved ice cream and cake. The ven
lng was spent In social visiting and
looking over the new Cloverleaf dairy
recently established on the Taylor
ranch.
Miss Maude Pool called on Mrs.
E. A. Fleming In Jacksonville Sat
urday, Mrs. Pearl Arant left Wednesday for
Medford, where she has employment
at the Peasleys studio. Miss Arant
spent last week end at Lake of the
Woods with several Medford friends,
Including Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hauk
and daughter, Barbara; Mrs, Philip
Dollalre, Jack Murray and Rowen

Mrs. John Bingham has returned
to her home on Thompson creek,
after recovering from an operation
performed June 32. Mrs. Bingham
has been at the home of ;her daugh
ter, Mrs. John Smith, on Sardine
creek, for some time.
