Saltmarsh of Crescent City motor ed to Medford yesterday, and Mr. Saltmarsh attended the meeting of the Jesters, Shrine organization, here last evening, at the Hotel Medford. Batemsn suffered minor Injuries yesterday afternoon when the gravel truck he was driving was struck by the car driven by Ruby Waddell. The acci dent occurred near the Rogue River Meat company. Both the truck and MLss Waddell's car were badly dam aged, reports at the city police sta tion show. Southern Oregon on Air Southern Oregon and Crater lake will compose the subject of a radio program, June 12, on the American Legion hour, according to announcement received by the Chamber of Commerce. The 45-mlnute program will begin at 7:45 p. m. and Is being presented through the courtesy of the Legion. The pro gram Is on a hookup of all stations west of Denver. Lee Bishop and Jack Retlaw were appointed to compose a special com mittee to arrange material for the recreational folder. The cover will display scenes of Crater Lake and fishing In the Rogue. It la being designed by L. M. Welsenberger of Foster & Klelser. It will bo com posed of eight pages, carrying a map of southern Oregon, photographs of scenic and recreational spots for which this section Is famed, and In formation planned to carry the story of southern Oregon to the public.
