Night classes at th Southern Oregon State Normal School tor the fall term will be public speaking, social problems and principle or geography, President J. A. Churchill has announced. Classes will meet Wednesday night for the tint time, although registration will be held -A Monday from 8:00 o'clock until 6:00 o'clock. Tuition Is $6.00 a term. Prof. Angus L. Bowmen who haa ust been added to the Normal fac ulty will teach publle speaking. Mr. Bownur has studied at the University of Washington and has taught classes In debate and oratory for several years. All types of public spsaklng will be taught during the term, Includ ing debate and oratory. Three hours' credit will be given tor the work, which will be on Monday, Wednes day and Friday evening from 8:10 until 9:00 o'clock. Principles of geography, an ex tensive course In geographic environ ment and Its Influence, geographic a control of production and trade, , major features of the continent, and the principles of geography In their human aspects, will be taught by Prof. Walter Redtord, who has Just completed the state course of study In geography. This course will be offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:15 to 8:05 o'clock. Three hours' eredit will be given. Development of the family, home, church and school, men and his en vironment and the various social groups of today will be studied In the course In social problems. Pro fessor A. 8. Taylor, who has returned to the normal school after a year's leave of - absence at the University of Southern California, where he studied for his doctorate and taught classes in education, will teach this course, which will be given Monday and Wednesday evenings from 1:15 to :05 o'clock. The football grounds at the new hlgrt school field are completed from a standpoint or grading ana s dust- covering, Supt. B. H. Kedrlck announced today. Street have also been graded and graveled, making the high school accessible to the students.
