Several delightful summer affairs are anticipated this coming week. Among the first to entertain will be Mr. and Mrs. Corbtn Edgeil, who have Invited guests to their home for Monday dinner. Honor guests will be Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Nlcker son of Pasadena, who are visiting the Alfred Carpenters, accompanied by daughters. Nancy and Peggy. Wednesday evening Mr. and Mrs. raui scrterer will entertain with a picnic on Rogue river complimenting Mrs. btewart Patterson of New Yors, who is spending the summer here. Friday members of the ranch col ony end guests will gather at Rogue EiK inn for a dancing party, more than 100 guests are expected for the no-nost annir. Hanhys Honored By Former Local Folk Myers Visits Us in Valley Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hanby, who spent the past week end in Salem, were much entertained there by for mer residents of Medford. Thy were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Noth and of Mr. and Mrs. John Carkln and visited the Leon Browns. Sunday they motored to Monmouth to attend the program, given In ob servance of t.he 75th anniversary of the Christian church of that little city. The memorial address was given by B. F. Mulkey. Lombardis of Bay City Guests Here Miss Dorotha Rlddell. daughter of Dr. and Mrs. E. G. Riddell and Miss Anita Mohr. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Mohr were honor guests Monday at an evening of bridge for which Mrs. Rlddell was hostess. Miss Mohr's engagement to Dr. Frank Morong, Jr., of Honolulu was recently announced, and Miss Rlddell celebrated her birthday anniversary Monday. Decoration of gladioli and roses added much to the very pretty party, at which there were three tables of bridge in play. Prizes were awarded Miss Mary Hayes and Miss Dorothy Orth. Wnkefield and family at Klamath Falls, and expects to start for Iowa next week.
