road honoring their niece and nep
hew, Misa Eleanor Mccaskey or
San Rafael, Cai., and John Mc
Casfcey of St. Joseph. Mo. Supper
was served at the McCaskey home
followed by dancing and badminton
at the Armory, where other members

son of Pasadena, who are visiting
the Alfred Carpenters, accompanied
by daughters. Nancy and Peggy.
Wednesday evening Mr. and Mrs.

who is spending the summer here.

Carkln and visited the Leon Browns.
Sunday they motored to Monmouth
to attend the program, given In ob
servance of t.he 75th anniversary of
the Christian church of that little
city. The memorial address was
given by B. F. Mulkey.

Miss Dorotha Rlddell. daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. E. G. Riddell and Miss
Anita Mohr. daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Emil Mohr were honor guests
Monday at an evening of bridge for
which Mrs. Rlddell was hostess.
Miss Mohr's engagement to Dr.
Frank Morong, Jr., of Honolulu was
recently announced, and Miss Rlddell
celebrated her birthday anniversary
Monday.
Decoration of gladioli and roses
added much to the very pretty party,
at which there were three tables of
bridge in play. Prizes were awarded
Miss Mary Hayes and Miss Dorothy
Orth.

table by Miss Gertrude Boyl and Miss

from attending the Pucker Institute,

her friend, Mrs. George B. Young
of Orchard Homo district.
Mrs. Pemberton Is on a western

two sons and families at Busunvllle,
Calif., also a niece, Mrs. Homer T.
Wnkefield and family at Klamath
Falls, and expects to start for Iowa
next week.

on Capitol hill yesterday. Honor
