This organization meets the same evenings as the Canton. 4 Expressions of Odd, Fellows Explained A person, even the uninitiated, often hears -"the expression, "I floe you have been down to Jericho," littlp. emblem of the. order, the wey known three links, worn on the lapel of the coat or on the vest. "Down , to Jericho," among the knowing ones, means that a man has taken the degrees of Odd Fel lowship, one of which has special co-relation to the biblical story of tho traveler who journeyed to Jericho nnd fell among thieves and was robbed and wounded nnd left by the wayside for dead. Biblical -readers will recall how he was rescued nnd revived by a Samaritan hence the common phrase, "the good Samaritan." . So "down to Jericho" has become a genernl Introduction when a mem ber of the order meets a stranger member. x YOU WILL LIKE Medford and the Rogue River Valley, Odd Fellows and Re bekahs.
