City Superintendent Scheffel hns made arrangements .with the county court to use-the county's large scarifier in this work, and the plowing will be begun as soon as possible, within 30 days, as the city officials fear that after that time the operation would be more difficult and costly. It was ihtended at first to use ordinary plows, but on learning that the county would . loan the city its scarifier, the plan was changed, as the scarifier would not only do the work faster, hut penetrate! the ground much deeper. , ' , ' Because only five of the coun- cllmen were present at Inst night's meeting, new airport plans were not discussed, except that the officials present urged the city superintendent to rush the work of plowing the site before the ground got hard.
