THREE BOYS HELD ON Threo school hoys were being In vestigated today by the authorities on charges of had check- passing and car theft, following their apprehension- yesterday by- the police. The boys are accused of passing checks at a local bank and at the Central Point bank. The checks had a total of ap proximately $125. One of the boys, whose names are not divulged by authorities. Is also accused of stealing an automobile a Bhort time ago. It was not known today what would be done In connection with their mart. Night flying with an illuminated field will bo tried in Medford to morrow night for the first time when the Sander Aeronautical school will make night flights from the local landing field at the fair grounds. The field will be Illuminated with a 20,000 watt twin floodlight, furnishing suffi cient light to illuminate an area one-half mile square. Local citizens wishing to sec Medford from the air at night may make flights with Harold Sander tomorrow evening. Flying will be gin promptly at 7:30. Ktectrielty for the huge floodlight will be fur nished by (he California Oregon Power company. A successful demonstration of the H, 000,000 candlepower beacon was hold last evening from tho Chamber of Commerce building. The beacon operated for most of the evening and was vlslgle from all parts of the -valley. It will ugrtin be demonstrated tomorrow evening und may be placed on top of some local building.
