In purchasing native plants and shrubs It is well to buy from a regular licensed dealer, or to dc teimino that this law is being ad hered to. the forest service nays. Supervisor Rankin points out that to be successful the trans planting of native plants, shrubs or troo saplings should bo done In mid summer, or later, when growth is dormant, or nearly so. They should not bo pulled, but dug with the roots and some soil and. .protected from drying out while in transit.
