Smith was piloting the plane owned by Ivo McKinney, New York plane build er, having taken off from Med ford. The return wuh delayed for repairs. No report of the above mihap was received by the local airport, and was classified by airport at taches, as a "trivial occurence, that happens every day in aviation." McKinney Is a former Medford resident, regarded as a careful though daring flyer, and has thrill ed local people with his stunts the past two weeks.
