THE EYES HAVE IT school lias done in securing vari ous beautiful cups and other tro phies. The high school band, un der the splendid leadership of Wil son Wnlte, has come heme the proud possessors of the cup offered by the Kappa Kappa l'sl of the Oregon State college for the past two year.s in a statewide contest. A large and very heautifiil eon has also been offered hy Seiherlins & l.ucas of Portland to the hand tli" wins three of these contests. Med foril high will own that cup if she wins one more contest. The footha. Uteam will hold per manently u beautiful silver trophy in the shape of a football put up by three. Oregon bankers if they win out next year. The P.-T. A. has discovered, how ever, that no adequate display of the many lovely trophies can he made without a new case to house them. Therefore, they voted, to the joy of pupils and teachers, to biiv a new case to cost some SI 20. giving half this year and half ncxt.j To earn some ot tins money, n freshments will he served at the county track meet to he held in May. Klection of officers then took place, hut the full list not being available at present, will be pub lished later. Much pleasure has been express ed in the programs sponsored by the P.-T. A. and held before the student body, to which the public has been invited. Two more me to be given, an address by Professor Vining on the "lleauties of Ore gon," and one by President Church Ill of the Southern Oregon Nor mal, on "Higher Kducation." The home team won the game to the score of nine to seven.
