The action was not disclosed. I CRIME WAVE SHIFTS TO TALENT AREA HARRISBURO, Pa.. Dec. R. Gov ernor Pinchot today resumed his ef forts to end the suspension of opera tions in the Pennsylvania anthracite field, now in Its fifteenth week. Today's move took the form of a conference with businessmen. , They were Invited here hy the governor to discuss the situation. Although Mr. Pinchot kept, pllent before the meet ing us to the exact program he had in mind, he said its purpose was "in the interests of settling the strike without an Increased cost of coal to the public." The governor made clear his inten tion of sticking to the proposals which he presented as a basis for settlement on November 28 and which were accepted hy the miners' and rejected by the oberators. -The, governor planned to meet the delegation of businessmen about noon in closed session. Harney county, discuss ed the Improvement of the road from ' Burns to Canyou City, 32 miles of which are in Harney county. The men from Burns want this made a part of the federal forest service road program. The entire road will cost J2i;0,000. including surfacing. The county hn $65,000 for co-operation. ! ! Grant county nnd the forest service I has built a large part of the road In 'flrant county. Tne total length of this highway is 68 miles.
