It waa tho worst defeat ever huh talned by an Ashland team In the Inter-city series. Tho visitors, except after tho first 10 minutes, when they offered stuut resistance, woro a sad commentary on tho dashing, flghtlnc, siicedy teams that heretofore have been turned out by Coach Hughes. They lucked offensive- and dofenslvo power fumbled at critical atages, and In tho stress of the game were frequently forced to call out time, on accpunt of poor physical condition. In the entire game, they made threo first downs, and completed threo forward passes out of 22 attempts. Most of their lino bucks were stopped with slight gains. Led by Moore and Conrad, and ex cellent lntorforence, the locals con sistently skirted the ends for long gains, and varied their attacks with forward passeB, with Singler, WI1--liuius and Sanders on the receiving end. Senn, fullback, smashed the I lino for heavy yardage at critical points. Medford fallod to make first down but once. 'Hughes, center, and Moore, half back, probably played tho best game for the locals, but the entire team functioned splendidly. ; Tho former time and time again broke the lino, and blocked passes and the latter rippod the Ashland dofenso to shreds with slashing dashes through tackle and around the end. The Ashland lino made the 'best showing, the . buckfield being very weak. Touchdowns' were scored by Senn (2). Conrad 2), Moores (2), Blngler, Williams, Archer and Green. Oon md kicked seven goals and Iunn one. In the final four minutes of play. Coach Calllson sent In his second string men and the visitors started an attack against Bob Hammond. That young man promptly smeared two plays by clever tackles, and Ashland started , back to passing. HugheH Intercepted a heave dver'cen- tcr and on the next play, on a beau tifully executed forward pass, Dunn to tlroeiH). the Becond team scored tho final touchdown.
