Mr. Fred Dinplep of thf rlty re- I reived the sad news of the death of his brother, George Dinsler, at Port land, who was injured by a limb fall hiR nnd hitting him on the head. He was rushed to the hospital, but pann ed away before gaining conncioiiKness. Mr. and Mrs, Fred O'Kelly went to the OreenHpring mountain on a deer hunt the Inst day of the season, hut were unsuccessful. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Carter, Mrs. E. W. Scott and son Ulchard and Mrs. M. It. HUhh were shopping at Grants Pass Saturday night. The marriage of Miss Sarah Plakely of Kvans Valley and Grant Orln of Grants Pass Is reported to have taken place at Crescent City. Miss Arlene Earhart spent the week end with relatives at Med ford. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Julian of Red mond, Ore., are visiting Mr. Julian's parents here, Mr. and Mrs. J. L, Ju lian. She has been a shut-In for a good many years and had a great many friends among the older resi dent.. Funeral services were held at the Stocks chapel in Ashland at 3 o'clock, Thursday afternoon, and Interment took place In the Central Point cemetery In accordance with her wishes. Byron Works of Glendale was call ing on old friends in Talent Wed nesday. Mrs, C. W. Long was an Ashland visitor Tuesday fternoon. Mrs. Hurley will be hostess to the M. E. 1-Adiet' Aid Thursday after noon at her home across Bear creek. All the teachers of the Talent schools attended the county Insti tute at Medford.
