Picking of Bur tie it pears is complete in-some sections, and pick ing of Howell pears is under way. Picking, nnd canning of Kvergreen blackberries are progressing. Oregon peaches are in market in fair quanti ties. - Meadows; pastures nnd ranges: Cut ting o fthe third- crop of alfalfa is practically complete In some southern counties, and cutting nf the second crop Is advancing in central counties. Haying is somewhat delayed by rain. Hulling of clover seed Is in progress. Pastures have been somewhat- revived by rain. Keed on the higher ranges is holding out well, but in many places domestic pact u res. where noi Irrigat ed, are insufficient for the needs of stock. Livestock: Most range stock is in good condition, ami the mrakets are all well supplied with beef anil mut ton, hut some domestic slock is fail ing. Mifieellaneous: Picking of early hops has been somewhat Interfered with by rain. U'lte hops are doing well. Some late potatoes will be help ed by the rain, but some are loo far advanced.
