While this bridge has been absent a good strntch of road was rendered entirely useless find much complaint was heard over tho delay made in putting in such a necessary niece of work. Some of tiie young ladies who are making preparation to attend Ashland Bummer school are Misses (lladys Rogers, Frances Fitzgerald and Elsie Straus. Our school faculty for the coming year was procured some time ago and includes A. H. Collott, principal; Miss Roadside of Eugene, socond high school teacher; Mrs. East of Ashland, Intermediate, and Miss Culey of Apple gate, primary teacher. . Mrs, John Hall has been busily oc cupied with the Mrdford dentist this week in getting considerable dentist work done. Mr. Scott, who hns been painfully 111 for Home time, is showing marked improvement tho last few days. .Our nnnunl school meeting was not very well attended, few taking enough Interest In leave their hay fiehU long enough to vote. Mr. Hlghaiu was elected as director to succeed Dick Straus, and Mr. Abbott was rc olected as clerk. We are proud to announce that the prize winner in the cake naming con test was another Sams Valley victor. Our precinct keeps up well In the county contests of all kinds and Mrs. Fisher Is the attest among several rocent winners.
