Milium, who. has already taken possession. Mr. Mlllam Is an old school teacher of the Rogue River valley and has a host of friends who wish him suc cess in his new business. We are glad to see Charlie War ren able to be on the streets once more. Prof. Oliver is taking; nls vacation near the Oregon Caves. He will be in charge of the store at the foot of the grade. Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Earhart and Miss. Arlene returned Monday from' attending State Orange at Dallas. They also visited Portland before returning. They report a fine time. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Magnuson and Mrs. Earl Scott and son, Richard, visited the Oregon Caves Monday. M. 1. Opdycke, salesman from Weintrout's, was a Rogue River vis itor Tuesday. - Ernest. Jacobson was over Friday from Klamath Falls and returned Saturday with then household goods. Mr. Jacobson will work at the car penter trade there this summer, but will teach again in the winter at Yreka. A Jackson County' Orange picnic was held Sunday at the Enterprise Orange hall in Wimer. A good at tendance from the various granges over the valley were present and a nice day was spent. Much business of interest was talked over during the afternoon. These meetings are very good to hold as it gives all the granges a better idea of the way things should be carried out. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Reed of Berk ley, Cal., Is visiting at the home of Mr. Reed's nephew. E. Reed Carter and wife; Mr. and Mrs. Heed are on their way to British Columbia for a trip. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Magnuson of Santa Monica Is visiting nt the home of Earl : Scott and family. Mrs. Magnuson Is an old resident of Ash land, having been employed In the Ashland post office for nj years when her father, J. 11. Casey, was postmaster there, and she has a host of friends who are glad to see her again. Mrs. Fred Dingier and Miss Ethel were Portland visitors lately, and were accompanied home ' by Mrs. Dlngler's daughter, Mrs. Wllllum Thompson, who has come here to reside. A very interesting meeting waB hold at the 'Live Oak Orange hall here Saturday night. 'Several visitors from Grants Pass and Wimer were present and " excellent talks were given by Howell, Allen and Calhoun, all of Grants Pass. Mr. Hoagand and his sister expect to leavo soon for the north on ac count of the sister's health which has'"ueen very poorly this winter here. t RIVERSIDE TO E A CLUB MEETING RIVERSIDE, June K. The rogu- jlar business meeting nf the club will be held on Sunday, J une 1 4th at 1 o'clock. A picnic dinner will follow the business meeting. Mrs. Richard Hunstov nnd children and Mrs. Maude Champlin and daughter Pauline were shopping In Met! foul on Friday. Miss Jane McQuat who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and M ih. I 'a ul McQuat returned to Medford Sunday evening. There will be n dance at the club house on Saturday night. June 13th. Dancing will begin at o'clock and close at 12 o'clock. This being under the new -dance hall law. Mrs. G. W. Matthews and Miss Daphne wore shopping in Rogue Hiver Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Wahl and Mrs, Roe of Medford and Mrs. Maude Champlin were dinner guests of Mr. ami Mrs. Chas. Wahl on Sunday. Mrs. Beatrice Jones and Kill oil 1 Hitler attended the vaudeville show la Medford Tuesday night. Mrs. Effle Birdseye and sons. The last vestlgo of snow will be re moved from the highways leading to Crater Lako national park during the last week of this month, and tho park will be open and accessible to tourists by July 1, according to announcement today by C G. Thomson, park super intendent.
