The Riffian tribesmen have launched the strong est and best organized offensive tdnce their invasion of French Morocco with a drive against Taounat in the middle of the front. Official reports say Abd-Kl-Krim's men temporarily gained some ground, crossing the Ouergha at several points but were repelled b the French. The dispatches say the government iias the situation well in hand. E MISSING 15700 SAN FRANCISCO, June 5. ( Ry Associated Press.) Postoffice Inspec tor Charles K. Calne said today no progress had been made toward un covering $ny clue leading to solution of the disappearance several days ago from the mails between Iieno, Nov., and Kloriston, Oil., of u package con taining $5700 in currency, part of the payroll of the C'rown-Willametto Paper company nt Kloriston. Re ports said the package had gone for ward from the Reno postoffice but failed to arrive at Kloriston. Two deputy inspectors from the San Krancisco office have been de tailed on the case, Chief Cainc said.
