The Crater Lake highway from Medford to McLcod Is at tho present j time in perfect condition as found by 'a number of motorists who made the drive Sunday. The road from McLeod to near Cascade Gorge is at present under construction and Impassible ex cept for horses or teams. However this construction work Is nearlng completion ann the road will be ready for surfacing by the 1st of April. This part of the road, has been so straight ened and widened .that It Is hardly recognizable as the old highway Those who live at Prospect ancr on the closed portion of the road aro obliged to leave their cars on either side of tho construction and use teams or else take a detour.
