Upwards to the number of twelve guests were present to help the dear young lady celebrate. The evening was spent in games and other forms of entertainment. That they had a good time was easy to per ceive, by just looking at their smiling faces after . the, party was over and they had taken, part in the refresh ments served to all present. Measles made Its appearance In the city during the past week and at pres ent It is understood - there are three cases in town. Those who had the misfortune of contracting the disease are Runnel Ross, Mrs. Luella Hoag land and Frank Peck. At this time they are all on their way to recovery. It is very seldom that that disease makes its appearance here. The eighth grade basketball team played a very exciting basketball game here last Friday afternoon with the Lincoln grammar school team. Thru out the game the score was very close but with the superior playing of tho local boys, the visiting team wns left behind, but only two points, for the score was eleven to nine.
