The new Holy Synod has called an all Russian church council for Janu ary 16, and has invited Tlkhon to appfar before It. Archbishop Evdo klm, head of the synod, ndniltted in a conversation with the correspondent that the conference may novor bo held if. Tlkhon declines to attend.
