There will be a program by tho children and - afterwards -a Christmas tree. Last Sunday tho at tendance was 68, and was the largest attendance since the Sunday school was established a few weeks ago. The young people's class are -especially Interested and - are making a -very good showing. A big ttmo is anticipated, and it is tho intention that no child in tho community shall be forgotten. Miss Irene Anderson and Miss Inga Winters wlllspend their Christmas vacation at Newberg. Mail carrier George Martin was compelled to lay off one trip this week on account of a scvero cold. Tho two games of basketball played Saturday night between tho 1st and 2nd teams of the Epworth league of Grants pass and the Rogue TUver high school resulted in a victory for the local first. team of Rogue River and defeat for the second team, the score being respectively, 25 to 16 nnd 14 to 10. Both were good games. Ted Cramer refereed and handled the games in his usual efficient way. Tho Odd Fellows will give a "Hard Time dance at their hall December 26. Although this Is the third letter that I have written for Tho Medford Mail Tribune since I reached home, I find that there are several changes in business affairs that have come to my notice that I have failed to chronlclo and some of 1hem may bo considered of importance, while some would be considered simply items of news.' Another change in real estate has taken place that I have ' head of since my last is the saio of tho lot where the Da hack garago was burned just before I went away up into Washing ton to Mrs. A J. Florey and her hus band A. J. Plory, although very reti cent as to their plans, with regard to their move intimated very clcacly that they wero thinking quite seriously of ouiining on it and opening a soft drink and candy shop, as it -Is situ ated very handy to the dance hall.
