Jersey, Holstoln and Guernsey calves can bo obtained. Accompany ing each calf will be a statement showing tho production of the dam and namo and number of the sire. The records of theso cows are official, due to tho fact that only calves from cows that are tested by tho Cow Test ing association will be sold. Indica tions are becoming clearer that tho republican national convention may be the scene of a sharp fight over the national committee's action in restor ing tho delegate strength of southern states in its expected revision this week of reapportionment figures. This trend, first developed during tho committee's discusHlon of the question became more marked today with publication of statements by Senator Johnson f California, a can dldate for the presidential nomination and Chairman John T. Adams of tho commltteo, attacking and defending tho action. While it has not been determined whether tho Johnson lorganizatlon will fight the southern delegato res toration on the floor of the conven tion, Senator Howell of Nebraska, who opposed the revision at the com mitteo meeting, holds that the re opening of thu-uestion was without authority and has expressed tho belief that if brought before tho conven tion the decision would bo set aside Senator Johnson, in his statement, characterizes tho revision ns an act by which "tho republican states are penalized" and the "southern states, whero there Is no republican party and whero delegations sometimes are a farce and a scandal, aro rewarded." Changsha is tho cap ital city of the province and moro than 100 miles north of the scone of the bandit outrage.
