church, believing that the Okanagan

had had Incipient tuberculosis, but
tho disease- was not active, and-he
was, to all appearances, a Htrong,
healthy man. He had to avoid over
exertion nnd he had to rcat at fre
quent intervals, otherwise, no cai-
ried on the work of his pastorate
until the price .meetings opened in
Vancouver. . ,
"Ho cam to Vancouver as. a min
ister deeply Interested in this evange
listic campaign to witness and study
tho conversions and healings reported
to be brought about under Mr. Price's
mlniHtry. UIo was profoundly im
presocd and went before Mr. Price on
tho arena platform to .be. healed, of
tho conditions which impaired his
goneral good health.
"116 was anointed by Mr- Price nnd
he collapsed on. the platform. He
told mo afterwards that ho did not

know that ho had fallen down. It
was apparent to his friends who saw
him that- ho came under some pow
erful psychic Influence.
"In a few moments ho came around
and ho stated that ho was healed. He
was absolutely sincero and was moved
to a high pitch of religious fervor by
his exnorlence.- Under the Impulse
of this suggestion ho attended all of
the Prico meetings and took an ac
tive part. He was most enthusiastic
and was nuito carried away.
"As a result he overtaxed his
strength, and a week ago last Tues
day suffored a completo norvous
breakdown. He became dally worse
and was taken to Dr. McKay's sanato
rium, where he died on Wednesday
morning. ' 1
"Dr. McKay stated that ho had no,
personal experience with Mr. Ed
wards' previous medical history, but
that tho statement by Mr. Welsh was
entirely consistent with Ilia observa
tion of tho case.

Tho lying which "healers" practise
is enough to show the spirit which
lurks behind.lt. They are enthusias
tic fanatics, Insane on tho question
of healing and then in their unbal
anced condition they say things and
do thlijfi.s which are deceptions. The
following, is taken from the pamph
let by Mr. White on "McPhcrsonism."

"Two pastors of Eugene, Oregon,
listened to Dr. Prico tell of the great
miracles wrought by Mrs. McPhorson.
Then, he said; 'You do not havo to

wrought. There Is a man who lives
five, and a half miles north of this
place, who, when ' ho came to the
platform for healing at Albany, had
a frightful cancer. I prayed over
him ami ho was healed. Thexo is
now only a little red spot left where
tho cancer was, and that is fast dis
appearing. If you want to see for
yourself, go und see." The two1 pas
tors took Prlco at his word and drove
out to the man's home. His wife came
to the door, and when sho heard of
their mission said, 'Yes, Hallelujah!
My husband is healed!' The husband
came from another room, with a bath
towel on his shoulder on which the
cancer hud- been" discharging. His
face was consumed so.. that you could
not only see his teeth, but also his
Jaw bone. Using one side ' of his
mouth, ho cried, 'Yes, Hallelujah
Price prayed for mo and I am healed!
Tho poor man had been so hypnotized
that ho believed he was healed when
he wan dying of cancer!"J
