California, who, besides leading various confer ences, will give addresses at the open Ing session, Thursday evening, at the convention church service at 11 o clock Sunday morning, and at the closing session Sunday afternoon. The address of welcome will be given by W, J. OUlfield of Ashland, to which Miss Mary Galley o Eugene will respond. Other speakers Include Rev. E. W. Warrington, general secre tary of the Y. M. C. A. at Oregon Agricultural college, Corvullls; Miss Elaine Cooper of Portland, state C. E. president; Rev. Walter 1 Myers - of Eugene Bible university, F. Gordon Hart,'former state president, who will be song leader; Clive Saiz of Albany; and W. P. Landrum of Eugene. Special music, bible study, graded Christian Endeavor, high school boys and girls, the International Christian Kmieavor convention in Des Moines in July, a convention picture, a sight seeing excursion Into Llthia: fcark sponsored by the Ashland chamber of commerce, and a junior C. E. pageant, are special features of the convention program. The Ashland convention, according to plans, will be attended by young people of various denominations trom Linn, Lane, Benton, Lincoln, Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, and Lake counties. They praise the Oregon roads and scenery as being superior to any along the coast and It every citizen of Medford coming In contact with these tourists would extend them a friendly greeting and tell them of the productiveness of the Rogue River valley and our delightful climate then southern Oregon's reputation as a splendid and prosperous locality would soon become known tn other states. The two green houses of Medford have recently furnished beautiful flowers for the office of the chamber and these are admired by tho stran gers when calling for information. Spring flowers are always an attrac tion and should any citizens of Med fcrd be able to furnish some to the Chamber of Commerce ft would help to give a good Impression to the strangers sojourning here.
