Because of the activities of certain secret organizations in Oregon, the legislature will be asked ut Its next session to enact legislation providing that the bylaws and membership of any secret organization, lodge or so ciety shall be filed with the secretary of state. Collins, state president of the Elks,, spent yesterday in Port land conferring with the general coin--mittee of that fraternity. He registered at the Multnoman. Mr. Collins Is also one of the directors of the Crater Lake National Park company. Crater Lake is becoming more popular every year, Mr. Collins stated, and southeastern Oregon is rapidly becoming a mecca ; for tourists. All of southern Oregon ' is experiencing an Inereasefin tourist visitors, which Mr. Collins considers' due to the greater attraction of Ore gon's national park.
