Most other foreign and domestic oils con tinued to strengthen. Independent steels were substantially better. Gulf States' rising, over 6 points. Gains of 1 to 2 points were scored by Crucible Lackawanna, Midvale, Vanadium, Nova Scotia and Republic. Ameri can and Baldwin locomotives wore strongest of ,the .equipments.
