THE FLY MENACE If the ordinary cattle-ownor had an accurate means ol figuring how much files were costing him every year, he would take steps to stop their dep redations instantly. The fly is one of the greatest dan gers to hoth human and animal life. It Is tho fllthieBt of all Insects, and the most Irritating. Cows and other nnlmuls that are bitten and pestered all day by flies, cannot do their best. On top of this if they have to fight mosnnitoos all night, It Is no wonder the milk yield falls off during the Summer. At least 50 per cent of all cattle are grubby, as a result of the warble flies. Grubby cattle cannot attain full weight 'and do not bring full price, and besides, a discount of 33 1-3 per cent is placed on all grub- oy nicies. It is very difficult for horses to work or travel when they are kicking and switching constantly at flies nnd mosquitoes. Unless you protect your stock, you are spending money for feed to fight flies and mosquitoes. It is Impossi ble to get away from this fact. Part ot it the flies get by sucking the blood tho rest of it is used tn energy they spend in righting the pest, therefore. thoso snmos flies take inilk out of your pail, keep your stock scrawny, discontented and make It unpleasant ior an concerned. There is another sldo to the fly question which must ho considered, and that Is the danger and nnnoyance they bring into the home. The house fly. the stable-fly, and other varieties of the pest are born and breed around stables; pick up their food there, and spread disease germs and filth. Tho hnuso-fly carries wtih it ty phoid and other disease germs and croutos uunoyanco for everyone In the homo. Everyone, therefore, should bo interested in eradicating files of every typo, and at tho same timo to prevent their increase in numbers as far as possible. How to lo It FLY-SPRAY is a liquid prepara tion designed to keep flies off rattle and horses and also repel lice, ticks, and certain other vermin. Every owner of livestock, whether largo or small, should use Fly-Spray particularly during the Summer sea son. It saves money for tho stock owner and ts a humano act. A herd of cows will yiold from 10 per cent to 20 per cent moro milk when freed from flios and aro able to eat in peace. Tho interior of stables, stalls, etc. Bhould be thoroughly sprayed to keop away flies. Fly-Spray is also an ex cellent spray for the Interior of hen houses, roosts, etc., and will aid in keeping the house In sanitary condi tion. . The cost of spraying your stock with Fly-Spray1 is very small com pared with the results it insures. It will pay you big dividends and give the animals peace and quiet, thus in creasing their weight and worth. While driving away files and mos qultucs It will not Irritate the ani mals and is non-po'srnous. It will not hurt the skin or hair. It Is ef fective for six to eight hours. It is a ropellant to lice; It Is a germ de stroyer and a healing antiseptic. It Is effective for use in poultry houses; It will not gum the hair: effective against barn or cattle Itch; Is a good hog spray. Monarch V Seed & Feed Co.
