P. offices at Port land, and former Medfcrd resident, who is the manager of the railroad's campaign to land the festival queen ship, spent today In this city and at Ashland, arranging torMiss Boyn ton'a forthcoming appearance.- She starts on .her tour of the state; tomorrow morning, and the first stop will be at Eugene, where a reception and dance under the auspices cf the Eugene Elks' lodge will be tendered Friday night Miss Don ton . will spend Saturday at Roseburg. where the Elks liave arranged fcr parade in the forenoon, a reception by the Lady Elks In the afternoon and a general reception Saturday night. Sunday and Monday will be spent in Medford and Ashland. .It is prob able that a special tralu will be run from Grants Pass for Monday night's reception and dance at Ashand. Charles Chaplin at Page Charles Chaplin's latest comedy re lease, "Pay Day," which is being dig trlbuted as a First National attraction, opens a four day run at the Page at today'g matinee. This has been done because high water washed out the racks at the Elk Creek hatch ery and the hatchery men do not wish to allow the fish to pass the hatchery on their way up the river before the eggs are taken from them.
