At the Page A hljtiily amusing farce-comedy Is "Garments of Truth," which conies to the Pase theatre starring Garoth Hughes, the new star. Barnficld found Lester Crope, (Oar eth Hughes the boy in the villas grocery store, a mighty troublesome Inhabitant. He had too witling an imagination, a M ay of telling lies In a manner not only Interesting but con vincing. For instance, there was the time he came tearing through the main street In a flivver, yelling that the dam had burst. It hadn't but Uarnfteld did. with indignation, when he found out the truth. There was a meeting of the town- council. In regard to Lester. All of which Is part of the story of "Gar ments of Truth." Phenomenal "Itchie Headrlck The most phenomenal child In mo tion pictures, Richard Headrlck, Is one of the central figures In "The Child Thou Oarest Me." which will be screened at the Page theatre for the last tirAes tonight. At the Rialto It is a varied program that Is being offered at the Rialto theatre this week. There Is a feature comedy equal to anything in the mirth provoking line that has ever been offered to the pub lic. Mr. Pickett, meter reader for the California-Oregon Power Co., was here for dinner Saturday and while here told us ot the proposed plan ot the company to put in another power plant on Rogue river, somo five miles below the one near Prospect when they will extend the electric line to Kugene of 110,000 volts. The plant will be locat ed at the Hole in the Ground Just after leaving the Flounce Rock grade, where they will have a perpendicular drop of 1000 feet. They expect to take the water from the reservoir at the Prospect plant and bring It down In an eight-foot iron or steel pipe, having a tremendous fall from the reservoir to the Hole In the Ground and there with a drop of a thousand feet to the river one can hardly Imagine the amount of force or power they can control. There nearls also another thought connected with the undertaking and that is the amount of labor that will be necessary to ac complish the job and how It will help the men who are now looking! for em ployment. Sunday morning was one of those lovely cool, crisp mornings such as we so often have here In January and Feb ruary, here in southern Oregon, such as makes one thankful that their lot has fallen in such a desirable place. There was nothing remarkable going on. Rer. H. O. Adams had an appoint ment to preach In Brownsboro and started out on foot thinking that per haps he would meet with a chance to ride, but no such luck, so he kept on walking until he reached the school house and after preaching to a small congregation he said that they had bad a dance the night before, and a school meeting the one before that so there were not many out so after partaking t dinner with some of bis friends started on the return trip with the same result, walked all the way. and had a real taste of what some of ns older ministers used to undergo In our mountain charges, but he came through all OK and went to the church and fired up, Just as we used to do In bygone days, and when time came for preaching found that be had to be or ganist, chorister, leader and preacher but he will gel uod to our way soon. He will preach In Butte Falls next Sun day, Jan. 29, morning and evening. Among those who called Sunday for dinner and for other reasons were J. D. Patrick, one of the carpenters who Is in the employ of the Fish Lake Ditch Co., Planey K. Leabo, Thomas Lewis, Thomas V. Nichols, wife and half-sister. Miss Myrtle Smith, J. W. 8mlth who lives on the old J. W, 8mith farm on Big Sticky, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Hlnman and daughter June HInman, and Mrs. L. B. Rawley of Medford, the four last named coming for supper and an evening's visit with the homnss and family. Also Wm: Von der Hellen, son Boyd and Mr. Uynnlng. Gus Dltsworth and two or the Vaughn men. Koy and Uriah, were here for dinner Monday. ' They came out from their Flounce Rock homes with a truck to take some cattlo home. Mrs. C. H. MILLIONS of people all over tho United States and Canada have not only been relieved of tho most obstinate forma of dyspepsia and indigestion by the Tan lac Treatment after other remedies have failed, but many of them have reported a remarkable and rapid increase in weight and a return to normal-health and strength by its use. Although Tanlac's claims for supremacy are abund antly supported by the world's leading authorities, it is the people themselves who have realy made Tanlao what it is. Millions upon millions have used it with the most grat ifying results and have told other millions what it has done for them. . That is THE REASON WHY Tanlac has become the real sensation of the drug trade in the United States and Canada, and that is also THE REASON WHY it is hav ing the largest sale of any medicine of its kind in the world today. Tanlac and Tanlac Vegetable Pills are sold by the West Side Pharmacy and by leading druggists everywhere. Peoria Oppo.es Wets PEORIA, III., Jan. 25.
