It seems hardly necessary to mention this obvious duty, but ac cording to reliable report, there is, in certain quarters, considerable reluctance to follow the suggestion of the Legion committee. What does this mean? Does it mean un-Americanism ; loes it mean disloyalty; does it mean a hostile attitude toward the spirit of our latest .National Holiday? ... Hardly that. Hut it does menu indifference; it does mean thought lessness; it does mean that following the high emotion of war, some unfortunate citizens have patriotically gone to sleep. Tliey need to be awakened. AVe trust by this time they are awakened. 1'atriotism is not a sentiment to display in time of war. land forget in time of peace.
