Messrs. J. W. Snider, D. O. Freder icks and Howard Grover recently purchased the Eldridgo Dairy Pro duce company, onei of the largest In dustries of its kind in southern Ore gon or northern California, have combined their dairy, produce, milk, cream and ice cream business, all of which is conducted in the up-to-date plant on North Bartlett. This vis strictly, a homo institu tion, uses homo products, employs home labor and asks for the patron age and good will of the people of the city and valley. See their exhibit at the Chamber of Commerce this week. They also furnish the ice eream free for the ban quet Friday night. The Associated Industries Association of Oregon are offering cash prizes to the merchants for the best display of Oregon manufactured products. The first prize, $25.00, second $15.00, and the third $10.00. In awarding the prizes, the raw products of the soil, such as coal and potatoes will not be given consideration, unless the coal is manufactured into hrickets or the potatoes are manufactured into potato chips or some other form. etc. 'J he exhibits at I he Chamber of Commerce are strictly manufactured products of Jackson county and every resident; of (lie city and county, during this week should visit this display nnd become ac quainted with what is being manufactured here. i fmH'$l there will be a dinner at the Christian church in Friday evening at fitfO o'clock. Rogue River Val ley iand Oregon. : . . . GOMPANY A' AT SUMMER CAMP JUNE 16 ID 30 The commanding officer of Separate Co. A, formerly Co. D, Fifth regiment, of Medford, National Guard of Oregon has just received an order advising that the National Guard camp of 1021 will be held at Camp Lewis. Washing ton, June 10 to 30th. Plans for a great camp are being made by the military department, nnd the 5th regiment with Separate Co. A of Medford and Separate Co. F or Portland, the first companies of the new regiment in Oregon, will attend this camp in full force. This camp is ordered by the war department and Captain Canaday will take a full com pany to camp this year. The drivo for members in the local company is succeeding admirably. The company now has enlisted strength of 87 men and three officers. There is room for ten more men in the company when recruiting will bo closed. The boys are extremely anxious to make a good showing nt camp this year and are now doing extra work preparatory to leaving for the annual encampment. Was In Bed Tnree Days Mrs. Josle Meed, 217 N. ORDER Dl'HLIN, April 20. Physicians of this city, regardless of politics, have Ignored the order of the government military authorities to report at once the arrival In hospitals of per sons suffering from gunshot wounds. Thus far no proceedings have been taken against them. The order was intended to aid the military in Identifying their attack ers, many of whom escape though wounded. , Physicians resent the military man dam because, they declare, it would require them to break faith with their patients, thus violating n rule of professional ethics. They say that If tho order were obeyed many wounded persons, voifld go without medical attention.
