OF COMMERCE The annual meeting of (lie Medford Chamber of Commerce- will be held ut the public library at S o'clock tomor row awning. A review of the work of the chamber will be made known by H. 1.. Wallher who served in the ca pacity of president during the past year. Side lights on interesting sit uations during the past year will be brought to light anil suggestions as to future activities will be welcomed by tho hoard. The forum luncheon on Wednesday noon will be held as usual. This will take place at the .Medford Motel and Adjutant General George A. While of Salem will address the members on the proceeding necessary to secure the construction of the armory in Med ford. Members of Company D have the privilege of attending the formn ex tended to them. The supplementary membership campaign will open with a "Good I'el lowship Dinner" on Monday evening. April IS at which Jake Allen of San Francisco will make the principal ad dress. The final announcement as to where the dinner will be held will be made tomorrow. The board of directors adopted the "Pay As You Go" plan of campaign which not alone calls for the team workers to get new members, but also to collect in advance the dues from the present .membership mid such dues and budget subscriptions as should have been paid prior to the first of this month. The team workers will be given cards of three different colors. The blue card will be for tho member!) . who have not as yet paid dues in ad vance. The white card will show the names of prospective members who will be asked to become members and to pay some part of their dues in ad vance. The third card will he of a different color having the names of those members who now owe the chamber for dues or budget subscrlp-J lions. j All members of the Chamber of Commerce will be sent a statement of, their account before tho campaign starts in order to give them a chance to pay according to the "Pay As You Go" plan. Such payments will relieve the team workers of considerable of their work and give them a greater amount of time to secure new members. Members of the Chamber of Com merce are entering into the campaign with a greater enthusiasm than ever before and this is due to their faith in the organization and their know ledge of a businesslike administration as shown by the annual report for the past fiscal year. There were pres ent at this luncheon, Kred O. llrock man of Portland, secretary of the Inter State Realty association, C. V. John son of Salem, Ore., manager of the real estate department of the insur ance commissioner's office, II. S. Hud son of Portland, business manager of the Artisans lodge of Portland. .Mr. Lindas of Medford, presided at the luncheon and very interesting re marks were made by tbe guests.
