Lightning struck a number of trees. The storm seemed to show more strength In the south end of the county and In the Willow Springs district. The lightning blew out a few fuses of the power com pany but otherwise did no damage to speak of so far as could be learned to day. It was the first thunder storm of the spring season. The meet ing tonight will, be the first one in which the newly elected directors will participate. The appointment of several com-' oiittees will be authorized and these will have the responsibility of Inves tigating and recommending to the 'bonrd the activities of the chamber as well as formulating a budget- under which the organization will operate.
