There were 28 members , present,, and the question camejuj) as 4o"the best plan to use the fundsj o band and the accumulating fiinds, for according to the present ar-'Tangcmcnt- each' member' pays ten -cants; bi-weekly,' and the Reader will " BearTn 'Viimcr That the .organization is not confined to citizens of., the. town .exclusively but'is corrtposed of Some of the people of the town as also of several of the ladies who live near the town lines, so when It comes to' the distribution of the funds those qui side'ef the corporate limits of the town claim that they have a right to ft say as to where anil how they shall be distributed. So when the question Came' up as to whether the funds , should be used for the purpose of hav ing the electric lights placed along life streets the question came up as to where tile lights should be placed and how funny there should be as .well ni to the expense, etc. Well in the discussion of the subject as to where tlie lights should be placed one lady eiSSO,sted that there should be one on the corner by the bank and that would tight the two stores, bank and garage, frut then the objection would Je raised to that phase that it is outside of the EAGLE POINT EAGLETS ;J ' By-A. This bungalow and garage would cost 54,000' to hulld.'1 f believe with out exception this to be the' most 'delightful location for a home in the valley. LISTIv ;X Price $7, 50U.00. J3.000.00 cash; balance easy tor:us. This place sold a few years ago for 1 1.000.00. It n worth more now as it now has irrigation. No matter what you are looking for do not miss seeing this. This is the best and worth much more than we are asking. I ROGUE RIVER LAND COMPANY Nash Hotel Corner 1 residential' district and tlte stores, bank, eta. are nil closed and couse Inucprty there would be no need of a light way orf there, and thou another lady suggested to put one by the bank er's residence and that Would light that street and partially light the ap proach, to the wagon bridge. , There was no special objection to that and llien, another another near tho ap proach of the footbridge as that is used about as much as any other thoroughfare in the town and woidd light ail along the county road. An other suggestion was to put one at the Stanley coiner, and then the objection came, up that that would, be outside of 'the corporation whereupon those liv ing inside the corporation limits ob jected on th ground that the object was to light the town. liy way -of explanation I .will say that the promoters of the scheme to have ;, the town incorporated had tho engineer run the lines so as to lc;vve out five families, on the east end and six .on the lower or: west end because they knew- that they all would votP against the move to Incorporate, and tho project would fall through. But the members qf the club living outside feel that0 they are Just as much on titled to the benefits of their funds as -those- living inside as they were in town before the little plat was taken out of the middle, and so that is about where the trouble will first arise, but we hope that everything will bo amicably arranged and we will hnve our little town not' only 'lighted, but other improvements tha't are greatly needed. ' Among other decided improvements made in our town is the wrecking and removal of what was left of the old lumber shed thnt stood near the rail road .track and was an eyesore to passersby. . Orcen Mathews was a business caller last Saturday and took out a lot of wire fencing and barbed wire. Mrs. Quire and her daughter Miss Mabel of Llnnville, Iowa called on your.
