MEDFOVfD MAIL TRIBUNE. MEDFOKD. OUKUONY V KDNUSDAY. MAY 12. 1020. Why Itch and Burn With Skin Diseases? There Is a Wav to eGt Rid of the , Torturina Suf ferlns You cannot boll water by applying the heat to the top of the vessel. You may possibly, after so long a time, succeed In making the water Juke warm, blit It 'will never get hot enough to boil. Cpoooooooooooooooooooooooo ' Disorders which -originate In the blood can he reached only through the blood, and no amount of local treatment up plied to the surface can be ex pected to do any real good. IOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOC ' The same principle applies to the attempt to get rid of skin diseases by local applications' of salves, oint ments, lotions, washes, etc., remedies applied to the surface of the skin, which can have no real corrective ef rect whatever upon the disease. Wa ter cannot be boiled until every atom has been thoroughly saturated wltn Intense-heat,'-which can be accom plisbcd. only by applying It in the proper way. ,' : So, also', there is a proper way. to successfully treat and get rid of dis eases of the skin, and that Is by get ting in behind the millions of tiny germs that cause the disorders, and eliminate them from the blood, thus going direct. to the source of the trou ble, arid attacking them at the start ing point. ' Those who rely upon local treat ment fuch as ointments, salves, lo tions, washes, etc., which are applied to the surface of the skin, will never be free from agonizing akin diseases, because they are going about the treatment Just backwards. They are treating the" results of the dlsordor, and not the disease itself. They are Attempting to boil water by applying the heat in the wrong place. : These terrifying. skin Irritations, eciema! tetter, boils, pimples, etc., have their origin In a disordered con dition of the blood. They come from a colony of tiny germs which get Into the blood and multiply by the mil lion. , Altho commonly called "skin diseases" because they sot up the vis iblo evidence of their disturbance on the surface of the skin, all successful treatment must come through the blood. This makes It clear why you cannot expect any real substantial re lief from local remedies applied to the surface of the skin. There is no danger of ever being afflicted with skin diseases as long as the blood is in perfect condition. It is only logical; therefore, that the proper treatment for pimples, blotches, sores -.boils, rough red scaly skin Is to purify the blood of the tiny germs that cause these dlB ordors. When any of these symptoms appear- on any part of your body, you should take prompt steps to rid the blood of the germs which cause thorn. And the one remedy" which has no equal as a blood cleanser is S. S. S., the purely vegetable- blood remedy which has been on the market for more than fifty years. S. S. S. is sold by druggists everywhere. 'Do not expect to be cured of any form of skin disease by the use of lotions, salves, ointments or other local treatment, as such remedies cannot possibly reach the source of the. trouble, which Is the blood. oooooooooooooooooooooooooo Tho recognized blood puri fier and tonic is S. 9. 8., which has been used for more than fifty years, and is today, more popular than ever. Begin taking S.. S. S. today, and write a complete Btory of your case to our Chief Medical Advisor, who will give you special Instructions without charge. The sign of fresh paint is in the air around the warehouse home of the Farm Bureau Cooperative Ex change. Blaine Klum is showing his handiwork In placing the fjurcau'B name In bold letters on their large building. When completed this sign will be visitble to people from all parts of the city and with its orange and black background will make a sightly appearance to passengers traveling thru on the Southern Pa cific as the building is located on the railroad track at Fourth and Fir streets, at a point which presents a good view to travelers on southbound trains while trains are stopping at the depot. , ' . ' Another improvement planned which will be taken care of very soon is the erection of a good tie rack on a strip of vacant land adjoining the warehouse. This will be a great con venience to the farmers and is in line with the policy of the bureau to mako its offices and warehouse the head quarters for the farmers of the coun ty when in Medford and a placo where they can get any information desired. The bureau has recently closed a deal with the General Chemical com pany for the sale and distribution of their Orchard Brand Spray materials. Again the prediction Is for a light to heavy frost for tomorrow morning. The rain of last night amounting to .07 of an Inch was a great surprise to the local and San Francisco weathor men as tho prediction from San Fran cisco had been for fair weather. "In all my experience I never met with such a woather surprise," said Floyd Young, the government frost expert. "According to the general woather map and local and northwest condi tions any weather man would have predicted fair weathor Tuesday mor ning for tho next 24 hours. I can't account for that rain s'ipnlng in in violation of nil the rules and regula tions of tho woather department ex cept that it was imperative that na ture make good on Monday's solar halo seen here, and the tradition that rain will always follow a solar halo within two days."
