The attendance by grade schools follows: Lincoln, 84.9; . Roosevelt, . I Washington, 79.3, and Jackson, 72.5 per cent. The average of the high school was above 90 per cent. While the press associations have not published a word yet about when the 65th artillery is to sail for home from France, andthe war depart ment has not given out anything, the Coos Bay Times of Murshtiekl last Friday published the following: "A cablegram received on the Bay yes terday from boys of the 65th stated that they were sailing from Brest for the United States. This will bring them into an Atlantic port early next week. They Will probably be sent west immediately to one of the Pa cific coast camps, where demobiliza tion will be effected. The news of the nearness of the return ot the 65th in which are the majority of the boys who left with tlfe 11th company has started discussion in the city of some means of celebrating their re-! turn."
