Lyle Plckel who was driving the truck cast on Third street did not seo tho approaching train from the north in timo to stop and tho train hit his truck well parit tho center and turned it completely around and hit it again in front throwing it cloar of the track and breaking down one of the S. P. tres pass signs as well as marring the sido of n topograph pole. Plckel stayed with his machine and rode it thru, coming out uninjured but pret ty badly ahaken up and scared. The machine is practically a total wreck, three wheels were broken off, tho framo broken iu two places, body all splintered up, radiator smashed, crank case cracked and tho truck generally twisted out of shape. How ever, strange as it may seem, neither tho windshield nor two glass win dows In tho cab were oven cracked. How tho driver could como out of such a wreck without a scratch is a mirnclo but Plckel is right on the job the same as ever.
