Word caane from Paris today from tho Red Cnoss commission to France saying no suitable tobacco to replace the lost shipment was obtainable, and urged thtit ten tons of tobacco be sent at once. The Red Cross war council im mediately accepted an offer of the Lisgett & Meyers Tobacco company to donate 1.500,000 cigarettes, 20,000 packages of smoking tobacco and 10,- ' 0 cuts of chewing tobacco, which will be forwarded at once.
